In order to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and promote the in-depth study of socialist political economy with Chinese characteristics, Center for Studies of Political Economy of Nankai University (hereinafter referred to as the Center), Key Research Institute of Humanities and Social Sciences at Universities, and Collaborative Innovation Center for China Economy, Nankai University National Research Center for Socialist Political Economy with Chinese Characteristics, Nankai University School of Economics and Economic Science Press jointly held Studying and Implementing the Spirit of the 19 th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and General Theory of Socialist Political Economy with Chinese Characteristics in Beijing on November 12, 2017. Gong Ke, president of Nankai University; Pang Jinju, former vice president of Nankai University; Gu Hailiang, deputy director of the Social Science and Technology Commission of the Ministry of Education and former member of the Party Group; Liu Wei, president of Renmin University of China; Li Yang, member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and chairman of the National Finance and Development Laboratory; Xian Zude, deputy director of the National Bureau of Statistics; Huang Taiyan, president of China University for Nationalities; Wang Lisheng, secretary of the Party Committee of the Institute of Economics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Gao Peiyong, member of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and director of the Institute of Economics, distinguished professor, a Changjiang scholar from the Ministry of Education, Lin Muxi, a professor from Liaoning University, and Lv Ping, deputy general manager of China Finance and Economics Publishing Media Group and president of Economic Science Press, attended the seminar. Nearly 100 scholars from Renmin University of China, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Nankai University, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Liaoning University and Economic Science Press attended the seminar. The meeting was presided over by Professor Pang Jinju, director of the center.
