Organized by the Institute of Economics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, undertaken by the editorial department of Economics Trends, and co-organized by social science literature, a large-scale seminar commemorating the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up and the 40th anniversary of the re-publication of Economics Trends was held in Beijing on 17th. More than 200 people attended the conference, including experts and scholars from universities and scientific research institutions across the country, and academics concerned about the 40th anniversary of reform and opening-up, economic research institutes and Economics Trends magazine.
Pang Jinju, former vice president of Nankai University and director of Center for Studies of Political Economy of Nankai University, pointed out that China's 40-year reform has made progress with the times, and China's comprehensive national strength and productivity have greatly improved, people's living standards have greatly improved. A very important experience is to turn practical experience into theory, and then use scientific theory to guide practice. Although the current theory is not enough to explain the miracle that China has created. We have summed up many theories, which should be systematized and raised to the application level of the system.
