On November 26, 2017, in order to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, vigorously promote Xi Jinping's research on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and further develop the discipline of Chinese economic history in the new era on the basis of inheriting the academic spirit of the predecessors. The seminar Tsinghua-Peking University-Nankai-Economic History Salon of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences hosted by Nankai University Economic History Research Center and Nankai University School of Economics was held in Nankai University. More than 40 economic history scholars from Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Shanxi, Guangdong and Yunnan have had a heated discussion on the inheritance, development and innovation of Chinese economic history. The scholars of the Center Wang Yuru and Guan Yongqiang attended the salon and delivered speeches.
