On May 17, a high-level forum on "Commemorating the 40th Anniversary of Reform and Opening up and the 40th Anniversary of Re-publication of Economic Research" hosted by the Institute of Economics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and undertaken by the editorial department of Economic Research was held in Beijing. Round table forum and theme forum were set up in this forum, and many professors from the center were invited to participate in the forum.

Professor Jin Jinju, Director of the Center, attended the roundtable forum and gave a speech on the theme of "Construction and Development of Socialist Political Economy Theory with Chinese Characteristics"; Professor Zhou Liqun of the center participated in the theme forum of "China's economic theory and policy in the 40 years of reform and opening up"; Professor Chen Zongsheng and Professor Ning Guangjie participated in the theme forum of "Income Distribution and Poverty Alleviation"; Professor Zhou Yunbo of the Center participated in the theme forum of "Economics Teaching and Discipline Development".
