On December 8th, the 2018 annual meeting of the Introduction to Marxist Basic Principles Sub-teaching Committee of the Ministry of Education College Ideological and Political Theory Course, sponsored by the Ministry of Education College Ideological and Political Theory Course Teaching Steering Committee, and jointly organized by the Ministry of Education College Ideological and Political Theory Course Sub-teaching Committee and Xiamen University Marxism College, was held in Xiamen University. Principles sub-teaching refers to nearly 100 experts and scholars, including all the members of the Committee, the leaders or backbone teachers of the Famous Teacher Demonstration Class of the course Introduction to Basic Principles of Marxism in colleges and universities across China, and representatives of some teachers of ideological and political courses in colleges and universities in Fujian Province. The theme of this conference is to study and implement the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China and the spirit of a series of important speeches of General Secretary Xi Jinping on education, to study and discuss the major issues of Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and to study and compile the teaching guide for the course Introduction to Basic Principles of Marxism.
Chairman of College Ideological and Political Teaching Committee of Ministry of Education, Chairman of Principle Sub-teaching Committee, Director of Center, and Chair Professor of Nankai University, Pang Jujin presided over the meeting and delivered speeches. Zhang Yan, Party Secretary of Xiamen University, and responsible comrades of Fujian Education Working Committee attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. Zhang Leisheng, Vice Chairman of the Teaching Committee of Principles, Professor of Marxism College of Renmin University of China, Qin Gang, Director of Science and Social Affairs Department of the Central Party School, attended the opening ceremony.
